Things I want to do before I die:

- Hire two private investigators. Get them to follow each other.

- Visit all the continents.. Except Antarctica.. But hey, just 4 left to go!

- Wait till someone is about to sneeze, and right before they do, loudly scream “PIKA PIKAAA!!!”

- Get married.

Image

- Run into a store and ask “What year is it?”, when they answer I’ll shout: “It worked!!!”

- Buy a parrot and teach it to say “Help!! I’ve been turned into a parrot!!”

- While it’s completely quiet in the classroom, I’ll all of the sudden stand up and shout “TOOT TOOT!!”, then make train noises and run out of the class. After two minutes I’ll run outside of the window and demonstrate how far I’ve gotten!! *Tschucthustchscu*. (This definitely works when the teacher asks you a question and you want to avoid answering.. Trust me)

- Stare at another passenger for a while, then announce “You’re one of THEM!” and move to the far corner of the elevator.

- Walk up to a stranger and say “Hi! I Haven’t seen you in so long!” etc, and see if they play along.

- Live outside of Europe for at least two years

- While in the airport I’ll open my purse/suitcase slightly and then ask “Got enough air in there?” Just to see people’s reactions.

- See one of those crazy carnivals in Brazil.

- Throw a dart at a map and travel wherever it lands.

- One day be able to tell my grandchildren stories from when I was young.

- Be a hitwoman like Beatrix from Kill Bill, and revenge on everyone who ever hurt me. (Or maybe not.. But it’a tempting, indeed)

- Get a best friend who I can tell everything to. Absolutely everything without being judged. There are so many things that are left untold. Who wouldn’t want a great friend who you can trust completely?

- Make someone re-build the Titanic and go there on my honeymoon. Hopefully without the ship hitting the iceberg this time.

Image

- Get a job that I absolutely love.

- Visit a lot of countries! India, USA, China, Japan, etc. Yes I know I have mentioned traveling a lot already.

- Be able to speak mandarin fluently, at least on the level I’d be able to communicate properly without any misunderstandings.

- Live in a luxury skyline penthouse.

- Live as a poor person without technology, barely any food, and without proper facilities for two weeks. Just as a contrast to my “luxurious” life. I want to know what it’s like, and who knows, maybe I’d get more into doing charities and that kind of things. And to appreciate life more.

- Take a ride in a hot air balloon and look down.

There are so many things I want to do! Some of these probably won’t come true though, but who knows. And some of these are just to see people’s reactions and their priceless faces, not for the experience itself. :)

Trollface! Obviously it’s not me who painted these.^^

But this girl is amazing, it’s just my type of art! It’s really something I’d like to hang on my walls instead of just having bare plain white walls, just like now… It’s because I never found anything as awesome as those paintings. Come on, it’s Hello Kitty! And I just love the fresh colors she’s using.

Babysitting – not a disaster after all!

As I don’t have school today, and neither does my sister, I had to babysit her. But I don’t mind, we have lots of fun together :)
We started our day with breakfast of our own choice. Cupcakes!!!

20120518-132838.jpg
And we decided to dress up as kitties again and then we went to the mall. It’s such an attention getter though.

20120518-133130.jpg
I spoiled her a bit by buying her a wristband (hello kitty, of course) and a book with a pen!

20120518-133522.jpg
And great news! We found free cupcakes! They’re not as good as mine though, haha. Seriously.

20120518-133707.jpg
We actually planned to go out and jump all the sugar away on the trampoline, but it’s raining.. So we’re just going to play some games now. And according to her, I’m the best babysitter ever ^^

My sister and the tooth fairy

My sister is sooo cute! She lost her tooth yesterday, but she accidentally dropped it in the sink, and she became sad because she thought the tooth fairy wouldn’t show up. Then I had to pretend like I sent the tooth fairy an email and explained her the situation, that she dropped it and stuff. When my sister woke up again, she went to the bathroom, and then she became so happy when she noticed there was a coin in the sink!! Hahaha <3 <3
Moral of the story: always believe in the tooth fairy. You may become rich one day.

Gratulerer med dagen, Norge!

Today is Norway’s national day! I spent my day with my family, we joined the annual parade with lots of music and dressed up happy people! A lot of Norwegians dressed up with the traditonal “bunad”. I never had any myself though, since I’m also part Sami… But anyway, I just loved the diversity of the people there! Traditonal Sami clothes, Norwegian, formal Indian, etc. I become happy when I see how diverse our town actually is :) And just on that day it doesn’t feel too small anymore since everyone gather.

I didn’t wear anything “traditional” today though, I kept it simple but cute.

I really want to upload pictures of lots of people on here! But I felt like that would be too stalkerish, as I secretly took many photos of random people… Meheh.

I made cupcakes for the occasion! They are a little bit to sweet so I only managed to have one, but omg how cute!

It’s been a good day, but I think I ate too much… Gotta get my butt out exercising tomorrow! :)

Cuteness alert!!!

People who know me well would say I’m very girly. Heck, people won’t even have to know me to tell! Anyway with the girly personality I have, I love to play with those photo apps on my iPad with stickers and lots of glitter! They do remind me of the Japanese photo booths I’ve written about before, and I guess that’s where they got their inspiration from. Here are some I have edited nowadays.

London – my second home

Yup, this was my fourth time in London since October. I’m really getting used to that city now, and I guess I’ll start studying there next year. Can’t wait! :)
We have been to Thorpe park, which is an amusement park not too far from London. I love carousels, roller coasters and the tickling feeling in my tummy I get from those!

20120419-185839.jpg

As a memory from there, we got a couple of coins from a machine. Isn’t it cute? Chris and I got one each.

20120419-190142.jpg

20120419-190231.jpg
But one thing that sucked about that trip is that it was really cold. And we had to stay in a queue for a roller coaster for two and a half hours!!! We got really sick of waiting after a while, but there was no way back since there were so many people behind us. We didn’t give up though! After that day we were so exhausted and I became sick. But oh well, it was worth it. :)

I wish it was as warm and nice that day as it was just one week before. I could even wear shorts!! In march!! It’s strange for me though, because here in Norway it’s still winter during that time.
This was outside of his university. Such a nice day to have ice cream and just enjoy the sun ^^

20120419-191049.jpg

Other than that we’ve been doing the usual. We went shopping a little, went to the movies (we watched titanic in 3d, I love that movie!!), had dinner with his friends, and I met some new people. I had a good time. :)

Bibimbap, one of my favorites

A tiny hello kitty store we found in Camden town. <3

A supercute earring holder I got!

Macaroons from a place I can't even pronounce. A piece of advice: The harder the name of a place is to pronounce, the better it is. Not in all cases though, but still ^^
They were so delicious! Very expensive, but worth it :D

We got Japanese mochi from this place. It's a dessert made of sweet beans and rice. It's weird, but you get used to it and then it ends up tasting yummy ^^

And I finally booked tickets to china! I can’t wait to go to harbin and Beijing =D
Some of my family members might go as well! Life’s good, huh? (:

WHY MY LIFE IS BETTER THAN YOURS

I know I have been really lazy about my blog lately.. No, this entire year atually. People have been complaining once again about it, and I feel so bad! Haha. But yeah, I’ve been a bit busy with school, traveling and whatever comes up of things I have to do. But I’ll try to make it up from now on. Otherwise my readers will disappear COMPLETELY (Oh, you already did I guess…)

Anyway, this Easter has been an awesome one as well. I went to London again And I came back two days ago, after staying there for 3 weeks (I will write another post about my trip). That Sunday was also mine and Chris’ anniversary. We have been together for 1 year. I can not believe it! The time has passed so fast, but a bit slow at the same time. I’ll never forget the nervous feelings, the expectations and my beating heart that was about to jump out of my throat when me and my friends peeked at him through the window. You can read the old posts from around that time here and here.

My babyyyy ♥

I still think a lot of things have changed since then, we are a lot closer and we are more relaxed around each other now. Nothing is as embarrassing and awkward anymore, and we know pretty much everything about each other. And what can I say? I’m very lucky to have him, even though he loves torturing me once in a while in any way he possibly can find. Facerapes, threatening about sending psycho photos of me to everyone, pulling my cheeks, putting his ice cold hands on my back… It never ends! Even though he is very super annoying sometimes, I still love him more.

By the way, don’t take the title above too seriously, I only wrote it to catch your attention. And it did, since you read this far! You’re now officially a Hello Mari fan. Congratulations, your life just reached a higher level.

I'm cute. Just ignore that lady in the background. Just focus on my cuteness plz.

Back in Norway

I just got back from England  for the third time since last October. I’ve had a good time with Chris, and I also met some new people. I’m almost depressed about that I’m back here, lol.

I’ve been to some Chinese events by the Chinese society he is running, we’ve had a few dinners and also some cultural exchanges. He is really good at teaching though! I know the “audience” really enjoyed it.

Chinese dinner.

During the two weeks I stayed there we also went to Hyper Japan, which is a Japanese event filled with lots of Japanese stuffs, like food, games, cosplayers (basically nerds), and even different kinds of shows such as martial arts.

I got no idea what she is doing, but at least she is wearing a nice kimono/yukata, or whatever it is.

The left one is a big nerd. :D

And then we found vikings horns! Yay! It's really random though, finding something Scandinavian in a Japanese event.

Then we accidentally saw Beckii, who is kind of "famous" for dancing to stupid anime songs. Quite annoying. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNFHFa4_PoIuse

During the time I spent in London we also had Chinese food every day. Mainly because of my addiction to dim sum.

Yum!

And another weird thing I found was an advertisement  in the underground of London with a girl wearing traditional Sami clothes. It doesn’t have too much to do with religion though. I don’t know I interpreted this ad correctly.. Is it because this girl stands out? Just like atheists do in some communities? I’m not even sure if most Londoners even know what Sami is!

Another thing is that we also went to the M&M store, which I think is located in Leicester Square? Anyway, it’s super huge with lots of candies! I’ve seen it many times, but I never actually went in until now. It was much bigger than expected!

M&M's! So many pretty colors.

Can’t wait to get back to London though, and I will very soon! And oh, I also got an iPhone from him with a really cute Hello Kitty case. It’s like perfect for me, mirrors AND Hello Kitty! Just have a look!

Which reminds me of that I always see awesome Hello Kitty cakes, whenever I visit that place. Why don’t we ever have those ._.

I think I just gained weight just by looking at these pictures. *sigh*

Sami youth

I recently joined a  society for the Sami youth in Alta, and last weekend we met in the central wearing traditonal clothes. We mostly walked around trying to sign up new members. And boy, did we get a lot of attention! A lot of people took pictures of us, and tourists complimented our clothing. We also took a lot of photos ourselves (I didn’t get most of the photos yet though, I might upload some new ones soon). But it was fun anyway. :)

Ignore that silly man who ruined one of my few acceptable photos ._.

Yes, all Lappish girls are as adorable as we are.

"Gákti" in Sami and "kofte" in Norwegian. There are a lot of styles, and this design is from the 1850's Kautokeino.

The society is pretty new, and they’re going to try to organize activities for the members, such as concerts, small courses, and even trips abroad. I heard some of them were talking about having meetings with other indigenous groups, that would be pretty awesome. I’m really into cultural things, so it should be interesting.

And oh, I am going to London once again on wednesday. I am getting quite familiar with that city now, haha. This time I will also get the chance to go to other places in Britain as well. I will stay there for two weeks, so at least we’ll have enough time to cuddle and travel. (You all know with who)
